Without additional information, it’s difficult to say, but at least this situation has finally been resolved. Initially, there were some issues between Sony and Bethesda regarding mod support on PlayStation 4 with conflicting reports on who the guilty party was. Thankfully, Microsoft and to a lesser degree Sony, have acknowledged the value of modding and accepted it as an essential component of gaming. Of course, mod support wasn’t extended to the console because of fears about piracy. Seeing as how consoles are locked hardware, players probably will not benefit from taxing mods that require high-end PCs to run.Modding has allowed many older titles over the years to have a longer lifespan and retain a large player base. As any dedicated PC gamer will tell you, mods greatly extend the life of a game, and can improve everything from graphics to user interface and more.
